Confusion Among the Disciples

John 3:25-4:2

(ages 6-12)

  The people were confused about how they were to be cleansed from their sins; they questioned if the people were to be baptized by John or could Yasha (Jesus) and his disciples baptize them. So they came to John, and said unto him, “Rabbi, Yasha is baptizing and everyone is going to him.”

John explained to them, saying, “A person cannot receive anything of the Holy Spirit unless it is given to him from Yahweh.  I am not the Anointed One, but I am sent before him. I am like the best man in a wedding. Yasha Christ that has the bride is the bridegroom: but the best man of the bridegroom, which stands and hears him, rejoices greatly because of the bridegroom's voice. Christ is the bridegroom and I am like the best man that stands with him. Christ must be recognized more and more, while I must be recognized less and less. People must not follow me, but they must follow Christ.

Christ comes from above and is above all: while he that is of the earth is earthly and can only speak of earthly things: Christ puts into action what he sees and hears; he is walking proof of who and what Yahweh is, because Yahweh is his Father. Yet many people will not accept him as the Anointed One from Yahweh.

Those who receive Yasha’s testimony in their hearts will prove that Yahweh is real by their actions. Yasha speaks the words of Yahweh, for he is his Son and is the same as Yahweh. Yahweh has given all things into him because he is his son.

If you believe in Yasha and in the words that he speaks, then it is the same as accepting life. But if you do not believe in his words and act upon them, you will not have life in you.

John baptized many people in water, but Yasha’s disciples baptized more people than John. Water baptism prepared them to be baptized in Yasha’s baptism. They were being prepared to be baptized in the "Holy Spirit" and in "fire."
