The Purpose of the Crucifixion

 By Mildred Garner

There prevails within the church system much false teaching as to why Christ was crucified. A shocking number of ministers accept the crucifixion as an act of appeasement offering unto Yahweh. Yahweh, they say, was so outraged at the miscarriage of his plan for mankind that nothing short of a blood sacrifice could appease his unparalleled wrath. They picture a disillusioned deity, frustrated and angered by the injustice committed against His holiness, so that man and all his progeny were sentenced to death before the fire of Yahweh’s anger could be quenched. But Yasha , unwilling to see the human family destroyed or sentenced to an eternal lake of fire, bravely agreed to bear the sin of the banished race, and by it appeased Yahweh's anger, thus redeeming the lost race. Even though he was His only son, Yahweh's wrath was turned away and he was satisfied when He looked upon the spilled blood of His beloved Son, and forgave the sin of man.

Through Natural Reasoning

Though appeasement theory is hard to comprehend, the carnal mind will read this into the scripture. Such natural understanding does untold damage to the image of Yahweh. This theory reduces the image of his character, strength, and wisdom to that of the heathen gods. It makes him appear more brutal than the adamic creature, while crediting him with less power and understanding. They have ignored His omniscience and conjured up an idea that love in its highest form loves itself for its purity.

Imagine a man that sets himself apart from all evil, he makes every effort to think no evil, see no evil or hear no evil. Would you think his desire to be sinless would create an intolerance in him that would render him merciless and incapable of loving all inferior creatures or would it do the opposite?

Adam's transgression and rejection of the living (spoken) Word of Truth, or Life, brought about his spiritual death. Not because Yahweh was angry and killed him, nor was it because Yahweh was unwilling to forgive him, but the Word of Yahweh and Life is the same thing. Yasha was the Word, Life, and Light, John 14:6, 1:1, 4. Adam could not possess Life if he insisted on rejecting it (the Word of Life); the absence of life produces death. If we reject the Word of Yahweh, we are rejecting the Spirit of life, or the Spirit that produces life. “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with Yahweh, and the Word was Yahweh. The same was in the beginning with Yahweh. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light (to be enlightened) of men,” John 1:1-4.

A Redeemer Was Needed

When Adam rejected the Word he transgressed, and became guilty before Yahweh, but forgiveness wasn't all he needed. When Adam rejected Life, he automatically sunk into the realm of spiritual darkness and death. Not because Yahweh killed him, but because he rejected his only source of Light and Life. Not possessing the Word of Life, he could not reproduce the seed of Life. He had fallen into a realm where neither penance nor personal sacrifice could save him and raise him from death.

Yahweh, being the essences and the very source of love, was willing to forgive man and to give him any measure of Light or Word.

Man saw the Word as a hindering force, or law, which robbed him of his individuality, will, and power to rule. Man was predestined to rule in Life; therefore, it is his inherit nature to attempt to rule, but his carnal concept does not have the strength to produce rulership because his efforts, no matter how great they are or how dedicated he is to them, is always disrupted by death, they have no life in them, they are not reality, they have no substance. Truth gives life and light. When man is filled with truth and light he can and will rule because the substance of Life (truth) that is emanating through and from him rules over spiritual darkness (ignorance) and death.

Adam dwelled in death. If mankind was to live again, there would have to be a manifestation of Truth and Life into the region of death and darkness. His eyes were blind to the Life-realm; he had to have a physical, or natural, manifestation, which he could both see and feel. To receive the Life he needed, Adam would need a donor, that is, someone possessing Life that would be willing to donate it. He needed Life from an outside source which he was unable to receive from Yahweh in pure Spirit form. In the carnal realm, he was blind to Spirit: therefore, the Light would have to come to him in the physical, or death, realm, and be manifested in a body of flesh, but this seed would have to come through another source. It could not be reproduced by Adam. There was no Life substance (revelation, spiritual understanding) in Adam; therefore he could not reproduce Life.

The donor would have to come from the life realm, he would have to possess Life and be willing to sacrifice his flesh and rise above it, because he was required to enter the death realm by coming into a flesh body. “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Yasha : Who, being in the form of Yahweh, thought it not robbery to be equal with Yahweh: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore Yahweh also has highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Yasha every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Yasha Christ is Lord, to the glory of Yahweh the Father,” Philippians 2:5-11. For if it was ruling in Life no one could take His life from him. Eve, the counterpart (or womb of man, the subconscious mind) could not give Life to his Word. Eve's off-springs were birthed into the death realm. Being married (joined) to death, she was incapable of reproducing the seed of Life, she was spiritually barren and fruitless because she had no sperm of truth to quicken the seed.

Without the word of Yahweh, Adam had become sterile, spiritually dead, Yahweh said unto him, “Dust thou art, and unto dust you shall return,” Genesis 3:17. Adam became dust, but the promise of Life was given unto the woman. This promise is also given in His rebuke to the serpent,   “It (the woman's seed) shall bruise your head, and you (the serpent's seed) shall bruise his heel,” Genesis 3:15.

Life Manifested to Mankind

By impregnating the woman (intellect of believers, the church) with the Word and Spirit of Truth, Christ will be manifest to the world again-but this time He will be manifest in a spiritual way; through a many membered  body.

Just as the Anointed Word was once birthed through a virgin maid who was in bondage under the elements of death, Yasha, the Living Word, will once again be manifest in the flesh. In his first birth, he took on a body of flesh, and though he was begotten of the Spirit, he lived in this world as a man and manifested the truth to the lost progeny of Adam. He gave his body to be sacrificed: after which he became a Life-giving Spirit in a body of believers, “And so it is written, the first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening (life-giving) Spirit. Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual. The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven,” 1 Corinthians 15:45-47.

This Body is spoken of as Yasha’s Bride, because it is through her that he will reproduce himself. Through the Church, mortal man can have some concept of the in-working of his Spirit in the intellect of man. Christ must reign through man until every enemy is put under foot, death is swallowed up in victory, and all creation is (as his original hope is realized) made alive in him (1 Corinthians 15:22).

Question: Some say the Body of Christ, New Jerusalem, the Bride, and the Church are different groups. Is this biblically correct?

What does the Scripture say? The Bride and New Jerusalem are the same. “And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come here, I will show you the bride, the Lamb's wife. And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from Yahweh,” Revelations 21:9-10.

The Church and the Body are one in the same. “Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world (age), but also in that (age) which is to come: And has put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the Church, which is his body, the fullness of him that fills all in all,” Ephesians 1:21-23.

“And he is the head of the Body, the Church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence,” Colossians 1:18.

“Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his Body's sake, which is the Church,” Colossians 1:24.

“Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the Church: and he is the savior of the Body. Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, That he might present it to himself a glorious Church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loves his wife loves himself. For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourishes and cherishes it, even as the Lord the church: For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. This is a great mystery: But I speak concerning Christ and the Church,” Ephesians 5:22-32.

“Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him (Yasha), that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. For he that is dead is freed from sin. Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:  knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dies no more; death has no more dominion over him. For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he lives, he lives unto Yahweh. Likewise reckon you also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto Yahweh through Yasha Christ our Lord.

Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in the lust thereof. Neither yield your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto Yahweh, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto Yahweh. For sin shall not have dominion over you: for you are not under the law, but under grace,” Romans 6: 6-14.
