Days of Sorrow
This is the days of sorrow and evil tidings;
The burden of deceit is upon the land.
Weak and fearful souls seek for someone to follow,
While delusion and deception takes command.
Those who were trusted to be Yah's gallant leaders,
Have fleeced the sheep and led the lambs astray.
To satisfy their greed and lust they robbed them,
False prophets truly live like kings today.
With eloquence they come in flamboyant manner;
At first they appear to be Yah's glowing light.
They robe themselves in deceptive clouds of glory,
Then their flame slowly fades into the night.
They advertise and claim to be Yah's great shepherds;
In open daylight they fleece and maim the sheep.
The church is judged by these men’s evil actions,
I tell you now, they make us all look cheap.
Morals have declined within the modern churches;
Virtue and piety lay crushed beneath their feet.
The daughters of Zion have become corrupted,
By crafty men who practice vile deceit.
With persuasive speech, and educated manner,
With tales of woe, and pity they do sway
The minds of those who are willing to show mercy,
The widows and the poor become their prey.
Redemption stands with out-reached arms and waiting,
To sanctify his bride by his holy word.
There’s no need to remain bound by sin's corruption,
If we will turn from them, and to the Lord.
