So many lost and sin-sick souls

Are stumbling in the shades of night;

They have no law, no moral code,

Nor concept of what’s wrong or right.

They do not think beyond today,

Confusion reigns as lord and king.

Integrity is esteemed as ‘sick,’

And honesty's a forbidden thing.

Filth is that, to be desired;

Corruption's flow is unrestrained,

Tacky is the exalted now,

All of this in freedom's name.
