A Blind Date
Nancy Bradley had a problem,
Not too uncommon in our day;
Nancy really was quite pretty,
But she never felt that way.
Every morning while she’s primping,
She would stare at her reflection,
Reassure herself she’s ugly
And was doomed for life’s rejection.
One day her best friend called her,
Invited her on a blind date.
Nan, you’ve got to meet this fellow,
I tell you, Kid, this guy is great.
Off went Nan to do some shopping
For lashes, wig and finger nails,
New outfit and better make up;
Spent all her money on the sales.
But the fakes did not impress him,
Yet the evening was divine.
The guy liked Nancy, for Nancy,
After all, her date was blind.
