A Mother is Unique
A mother’s a woman
That’s much like another,
Except to the children
That call her their mother.
To the world she’s average,
But kids can discover
Some wonderful things
In the heart of a mother.
They seem to know how,
For children are smart,
And are born with a key,
That will open her heart.
A mother has a way
Of reading the mind,
Of faults she most always
Seems ignorant and blind.
A mother is a judge,
Stern and demanding,
A promoter, a critic,
And yet understanding.
She remains a best friend,
Most thoughtful and kind,
Counselor and physician,
And there every time.
A mother's uniqueness
Is known by no other,
Except by the children
Who call her mother.
