Saturnalia
By Jove, it is Saturnalias,
It’s the time of Soltic cheer.
Go bring the wine and liquor out,
And don't forget the beer.
We'll dance and sing and merry make;
Fill the wassail to the brim.
Let’s honor Saturn and the gods,
With reveling and with vim.
Let's not forget the god Tammuz,
We must decorate his tree.
To keep his customs on his day,
We'll deck it lavishly.
Hey, let's include Befana,
And put the stocking on display.
The fairies should be remembered,
On this, their Soltic day.
We'll also roll the Yule Log out,
And set the flames tonight.
We'll dance around the embers
To our souls delight.
The Saints will all object, you know,
But I’m sure they’ll let it pass,
If we say it's the Lord’s birthday,
And call it Christ's mass.
