Today is the day to share gladness;

Proclaim so the world will hear.

Goodwill to mankind is the message;

Joy to the world the refrain.

Tell the world there is an answer,

To misery and heartache and pain.

Tell the blind there is a Savior;

This is the message of cheer,

Christ came to earth and suffered,

To bring some of heaven down here.
