Staying on Line
It’s the day before Christmas,
And all through the house,
The dust has collected,
I feel like a louse.
It’s really my duty
To clean up this dump,
But since the computer,
I sit on my rump.
I have E-mail to answer,
And the Internet too,
Has wonderful surprises,
I never get through.
My friends and companions
Have began to complain,
They say they’re neglected
And think I’m insane.
My snail mail correspondence
Is lagging behind;
No time for the mail box,
I’m busy on line.
I’m greatly concerned,
If you’re feeling neglected,
But it’s 2007,
And I am staying connected.
