Through the fires of persecution

The spirit is made strong;

In trials and tribulations,

Is Yah's greatest wisdom known.

The whole is but a paradox,

Too complex for mortal man;

Only through Yah's Holy Wisdom

Can the wisest understand.

It is when the storm is raging

That our eyes are made to see;

It is by the cords that bind us

That our spirits are made free.
