Gratitude

I appreciate the comfort,

That you send to me each day.

It seems you feel my deepest cry,

Many times before I pray.

Lord, your love to me is awesome,

For it is my sword and shield.

It stays with me through afflictions,

Also on the battle field.

There’s a multitude of burdens

That life gives us each to bear,

But we feel your divine presence,

And your awesome love and care.

Your love’s a source of energy,

We’re renewed in you each day.

We draw strength from your Sweet Spirit,

When there is no time to pray.

Lord, I want to say I thank you!

And I need you all day long.

The splendor of your love is awesome,

So dependable and strong.
