I Glory in the Cross
Life's counterfeit no longer charms,
I'll only glory in the cross.
I gladly leave the world behind,
Counting it as nothing lost.
I looked around at my collection,
Things I’d gathered by my skill;
Then I knew they each would perish,
Or be an object in my will.
I finally found the genuine;
I’ve found the treasure in the field.
I sold the world with all its glitter;
I have the jewel that’s real.

Matthew 13:44
Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure
hid in a field; the which when a man has found, he hides,
and for joy thereof goes and sells all that he has, and buys that field.
