The Lost Sheep

I was once that little lost sheep,

That the Shepherd went to find.

When He heard my lonely bleating,

Then He left the ninety-nine.

I was stranded in a thicket;

Securely bound by carnal mind,

But He came into my darkness,

When He left the ninety-nine.

He picked me up so gently;

His loving hands were so divine.

I’m the lamb that Yasha rescued,

When He left the ninety-nine.

When he clasped me to His bosom,

My heart with His, did so entwine;

Then He bore me to the sheepfold,

Where I joined the ninety-nine.
