Give me the strength to mend my ways.

In Thee alone is peace of mind;

My spirit by Thy fire refine,

I need true wisdom and insight;

Please, help me to myself be true.

I want to be a shining light,

A witness in the darkest night;

With fortitude to take me through.

And when I fail, help me confess;

In honesty let vainglory cease,

Free from anxiety, strain and stress,

Help me to be what I profess;

From all bondage give release.
