If all men gave a good report,

With hearts sincere and true;

Upheld the law in word and deed,

And gave each man his due.

If every man was honest

And would not tell a lie;

Would not lust, cheat nor steal,

And for the truth would die.

If never a soul was greedy,

Nor gave himself to vice,

This earth would be as Eden,

A lovely paradise.
