 A Throne of Grace

They say this is the Lord’s birthday,

How many will take time to pray?

Who’ll thank him for His love and grace?

Can anyone see Him in this place?

If we have spiritual eyes to see,

We’ll see him in the old oak tree,

Where lovely song birds come to sing,

And in the green hillsides of spring.

We’ll see Him in a stranger’s smile,

And in the purity of a child.

I saw Him in a wrinkled face;

I’ve felt Him in a warm embrace.

The gracious Lord is everywhere,

If the heart’s right and vision’s clear,

We’ll feel his love in every place,

The world becomes a throne of grace.
