I Will Praise Him
When the shades of night have gathered, at the closing of the day,
I draw closer to my Savior, and I seek a place to pray.
For my need is overwhelming; I must have some time with him,
For my strength has slowly vanished; and I’ve lost life’s precious vim.
I sit silent in the shadows, and I know that He is there;
My soul cries out to worship, but I’ve lost my words of prayer,
For His precious love engulfs me, displayed in a grand soiree.
Oh please tell me what to ask for, if there’s something I should say.
Oh, Glory hallelujah, He is everything to me;
I’m resting in His mercy, and in his love I’m free.
There is bread upon my table, and so much I have to spare,
And my home is warm and peaceful, with His presence everywhere.
Yasha is my nighttime keeper; He protects me while I sleep.
I can feel his arms about me, as he guides my faltering feet.
He’s my healer and my keeper; I am resting in His care;
I have nothing lacking, that I should plead with him in prayer.
Then I’ll lift my voice and praise him, I’ll tell Him my love is real,
But my heart reveals my secret, and He knows the love I feel.
Oh, Glory hallelujah, He is everything to me;
I am resting in His mercy, and in his love I’m free.
My Blessed Savior loves me, in my heart there is no doubt,
That is why I quietly worship, and that’s why I sometimes shout.
Never mind, I know he knows it, but I’ll praise him just the same.
And I’ll lift my voice in worship; loudly, loudly praise His name.
I will then confess my weakness, yield my heart and soul to Him,
As I feel my strength increasing, with such energy and vim.
For my lips cry out to praise Him; my tongue must shout aloud;
I will worship in my closet, and I’ll praise him in the crowd.
Oh my lips will not be silent; they must praise him day and night,
For He fills my heart with rapture, and He floods my soul with light.
Oh, Glory hallelujah, He is everything to me;
I am resting in his mercy, and in his love I’m free.
I will bow my knee before him; and give honor to the king;
I will worship and adore him, and his highest praises sing.
My Blessed Savior loves me, in my heart there is no doubt,
That is why I quietly worship, and that’s why I sometimes shout.
