My spirit seeks a lofty place,

To dwell with Him behind the veil.

To see my Savior face to face,

I know by faith I shall prevail.

I bow before the throne of grace;

My soul cries out to be with Him.

Where I will know Him as He is,

And live above this lifeless realm.

The spirit's willing, the flesh is weak;

Upon His power I depend

To help me rise above this realm,

And win the victory over sin.
