A Wondrous Interlude
In the coolness of the dawning,
As the stars fade in the sky,
I love to watch the change take place
As soft clouds go floating by.
A new day is appearing,
There before my eyes,
Soft white clouds are turning red
And changing shape and size.
The birds are out and darting
As they glide from tree to tree;
They are performing an exhibition
For just me alone to see.
I stand there in awe and silence;
My heart is filled with gratitude
For having had this precious moment
To enjoy this wondrous interlude.
