October’s Delightful Boon

We love October’s crisp cool air;

It cools the cheeks and tangles hair.

The red sunsets, and glowing haze,

With autumn’s hues and sunny days.

The forest greens are now red-gold.

We know the days will soon be cold,

When snow is falling on the ground,

Covering the earth without a sound.

The fields sway with golden grain,

And harvest time is here again.

We reap the seeds that we have sown,

And count the blessing we have known.

The family clan from great to least

Will come to share a harvest feast.

There with the family at our side,

We’ll thank our God he did provide.
