The Pilgrims
Over the stormy ocean waves,
The weary pilgrims came,
To seek the right to worship Yah,
And praise the Savior’s name.
No one can guess the price they paid,
Nor how many tears were shed;
No other people wore their shoes,
Nor shared their thorny bed.
But if these Saints had never came
In search of liberty,
What place on earth could we now find,
Where Christians would be free?
But has this country remained free?
What about the public schools,
Where prayer and talk of Yasha,
Is now against the rules?
No place for Bibles in the schools,
Where mythology is freely taught.
Have we preserved the liberty,
Those lowly pilgrims bought?
