A Gift from an Angel by Beverley Holzkamper

 In 1973, I was going to secretarial school and supporting two young children. My income was extremely limited. 

My cry to study the scriptures was very strong.  I was without a Bible and desperately needed one.  I told the Lord if he would help me obtain a Bible, I would read and study it regularly. 

I went to the Bible Book Store in Rogers, Arkansas and put a nice Bible on layaway.  All I had was five dollars at the time.  I waited for a couple of weeks and placed another dollar on the Bible.  At the rate I was going, I knew it would be several months before I would be able to pay it out. 

After another two weeks I returned to the store with the intentions of placing another dollar on the Bible.  The store manager informed me my Bible had been paid for.  She described the person that paid for it and no one I knew fit that description.  I hadn’t told anyone that I was buying the Bible. 

She explained that the man came in for no other reason except to pay for the Bible.  He handed her the exact amount owed on the Bible and left buying nothing more.  She said to her knowledge she had never seen the man before.
