Did You Know

October

The birthday of our Lord is on Tabernacles. Tabernacles is seven new moons from the spring equinox. Spring is the beginning of new life. Count fourteen days after the seventh moon, it will fall on the full moon.  It is fitting that Christ was the fulfilling of Tabernacles, but it is fascinating to know that we cannot lose track of his birthday since it is set by the moon. It is also wonderful that he represents truth coming in its fullness in the darkness of ignorance and that truth shines upon the whole world.

It is now common knowledge that there were three important annual feasts that Israel was supposed to keep, Passover, Harvest of Firstfruits (Pentecost) and Tabernacles. It is also common knowledge that the Messiah was crucified on Passover, and the Holy Spirit came on The Feast of Firstfruits, but it is not so well known that the Messiah was born on Tabernacles. It can be proven by the Bible that His birth was near that date, but it was to be fulfilled by Yahweh (God) tabernacling  (indwelling) man; he did that for the first time in the Messiah. This is a beautiful truth that needs to be recognized.
